Conventional shaped edgebanding processes involves moving panels around a machine. Simple enough you might say, unless of course the piece in question happens to be a 25mm thick 1800 x 1200mm desktop edged with 3 mm PVC. This requires two men with a high degree of skill and concentration and even then rejects are high nad productivity low.

This has all changed with the advent of the ADAMIK portable edge banders. Large panels Romain stationary whist the edgebander travers around the piece. Easy to use and requiring just one man to operate, the ADAMIK portable edge bander is a real boon for edgebanding of shapes. It can even be fixed to the workbench and used as a conventional hot melt straight line edgebander.
Portable edgebanders ADAMIK are produced in 3 modification. The 3 models are MANUAL , MANUAL Plus and MANUAL Speed. During the production of the machine the quality and accurancy are the key points. Portable edgebanders ADAMIK are equipped with brand-name components such as PANASONIC (motors), MOEHLER (electronics) or ELTOP (heating elements). Individual parts of the machine are finished on CNC in order to achive the demanded accurancy and geometry of the machine.
The machines are designed to be used with glues made by world-leading glue producers such as JOWAT, HENKEL, Kleiberit or Rayt. Every machine has to pass the PDI (pre-delivery inspection) to check the right functionality before it leaves the factory.
